1st ECOP & IPMS 2026 (Registration)

IPMS 2026 – The International Symposium on Post-Mining Activities and the 1st ECOP – The 1st European Post-Mining Conference will be held at La Blanche Island Hotel in Bodrum from 4–6 May 2026. The event is a pioneering platform that addresses the environmental, social, economic, and cultural transformation processes following the completion of mining operations on an international scale.

Following the successful IPMS 2024 held in Zonguldak, this year's symposium, expanded in scope, will welcome participants under the umbrella of the 1st ECOP 2026 , which aims for European collaboration, with the theme " Remediation & Rehabilitation, Restoration to Nature, Socio-economic Activities, Industrial Heritage, Waste Management ." The organization is being organized in collaboration with MAYEM (Mining and Geoscience Professionals Professional Development Association) and Gümüşhane University , with the support of national and international institutions.

The primary objective of the symposium is to ensure a holistic approach to sustainable land management, industrial heritage protection, ecosystem restoration, and socio-economic development in the post-mining era . The event includes:

This event brings together scientists, engineers, local governments, civil society organizations and industry representatives to jointly redesign the post-mining future .

Participants will have the opportunity to share knowledge with experts from different parts of the world, establish new collaborations and examine examples of good practice on site.
